Lisa & Jeremy’s Sneak Peek – Northern Virginia Engagement Photographer

I met with Lisa and Jeremy for an engagement shoot in Ashburn, VA at one of my favorite spots to photograph. The weather was brisk, but beautiful which made it easy to capture a lot of great shots. Here are some of my favorites from our time together, including these of the enchanted forest!

Erin & Mike’s Engagement Sneak Peek – Washington, DC Engagement Photographer

I met with Erin and Mike for their engagement photos down in Georgetown. We took pictures along the cobblestone streets and the C&O canal. It was a chilly day, but the weather was great for lighting (overcast!). Here are some of my favorites from our time together. I look forward to shooting your wedding this Summer!

Some nature-like pictures. The tulips were colorful and in perfect bloom.

I love graffiti backdrops in pictures… Like the tulips, it helps add color!

A little cheesy, but cheesy is great for photos.

Jason & Natalia were good sports walking on rocks, getting their shoes dirty, and lying on the gravel road! Fortunately, the road was closed!

Are you considering booking a portrait session in 2011? If so, contact me for availability and to lock in my 2010 pricing. The session fee includes all of the digital files & personal use rights to all photos! Portrait sessions include engagement, senior/graduates, maternity, newborn, family, trash the dress, bridal, boudoir, or just because. To lock in 2010 pricing, portrait sessions must be paid for by the end of January 2011, but can be redeemed anytime.

Group sessions are great for high school senior or “just because” portraits. By booking with a couple friends, you can have a great time together while receiving a discount! Ask me about portrait party and multiple session discounts.

Based on demand, my 2010 wedding pricing is good for weddings booked (contract and deposit received) by the end of January 2011, too.

Robby & Sabrina’s Engagement Session – Northern Virginia Engagement Photographer

Robby, Sabrina, and I walked around downtown Leesburg for our engagement session. It was a cold October morning, but they toughed it out for some fun pictures. They sported some fashionable sunglasses for a handful of their photos… I hope they hook me up with a pair. Congratulations Robby and Sabrina and enjoy your big day on 09/10/11!

Their wedding colors are blue and green, so this wall was perfect.

Jennifer & Chris Engagement Photos – Northern Virginia Engagement Photographer

I met with the future newlyweds at the Ice House Cafe & Oyster Bar where they were grabbing a drink to “loosen up.” It also was where they had dinner the night Chris proposed! After dinner, Chris took Jennifer to a softball field (they’re both avid softball players, coaches, etc.) where he had written “Marry Me” on the infield dirt. We took pictures around downtown Herndon and finished at the park where the softball field was located. Despite being 100 degrees+ outside, I had a great time taking pictures with them. Congrats Jennifer & Chris!

Engagement Mini Session – Loudoun Engagement Photographer

Sarah and John wanted a mini session before booking a full engagement session in the Spring when the weather warms up. We shot for about 15-20 minutes in downtown Leesburg. Here are a few favorites.

I hope you enjoy the movie trailer I put together for Sarah and John’s “Save the Date” announcements (below). I really enjoyed this video project (shot with the MKII) and look forward to making more movies for engagement couples or anyone with an interesting story idea!

A few more pictures which were potentials for the announcement cover. The cold weather and setting sun only gave us a few minutes of shooting after taking the movie. With the wind chill temperatures at 12 degrees, I actually think my fingers were frostbitten in only 10 minutes outdoors. Next time, we’ll wait until Spring!

Carissa & Kevin Engagement Photos – Leesburg Engagement Photographer

I had the pleasure of shooting engagement photos for Carissa and her fiancé, Kevin. We spent time together taking both nature and urban shots around Leesburg. Check out the slideshow for more photos… By the way, Carissa looks like a model in this picture. She’s going to make a beautiful bride next June.

A beautiful fall day in October with the sun shining and leaves changing colors.

Just like everyone loves a red dining room or kitchen, photographers love a red door as a backdrop.

Here are some early morning shots in an alley that worked out great. They’re also my favorites!
