We were in Myrtle Beach for family vacation and had a chance to snap a few pictures on the beach. Brayden is 2 1/2 years old and Landon is 8 months. Enjoy!

National Air & Space Museum (Dulles)

We took Brayden & Landon to the National Air & Space Museum nearby Dulles Airport. Like most babies, Landon slept in his carrier. Brayden ran around pointing at all the “big” planes. We told Brayden where we were going beforehand and let’s just say he was excited!

Here are a few shots of the museum. This is a picture of the observation tower. We didn’t go up the tower, but plan to next time we visit.

Brayden next to the Lockheed Blackbird (which flew from LA to DC in 1 hour and 4 mins). It was a fun family day and Brayden has already asked to go back.

Meet Baby Landon – Northern Virginia Newborn Photographer

A few weeks ago I posted maternity pictures of my wife under We’re Expecting!… Well, Landon Ryan decided to join the world 3.5 weeks early! Born 10/11/10 at 6 pounds, 3 ounces, we were excited to have another healthy baby boy. We haven’t had much time to take pictures with Kelly on bed rest from a spinal headache (they’re awful if you’re not familiar with them), but were able to get some earlier this week before I headed back to work. I’m sure there will be more to come over the next few months! For now, I hope you enjoy these.

We’re Expecting! – Northern Virginia Maternity Photographer

My wife, Kelly, and I are expecting #2 in 6 weeks! I will say with both of us working full-time and coming home to an active 20-month old son, this pregnancy has flown by. I would also venture to say that most of my blog followers are females and this is only a male’s perspective of his wife’s 2nd pregnancy! We don’t know what we’re having this time, but do know we are both anxious to find out.

Kelly never thought to do “maternity” pictures when she was pregnant with Brayden. Even though I had purchased my first digital SLR, I wouldn’t have considered myself a photographer let alone a professional photographer. Over the past year of developing my photography business, she has looked at more photoblogs than I have and decided she really wanted maternity shots this time around. We headed to a place nearby as the sun was setting and started shooting. These aren’t your traditional “maternity” portraits, either. I hope you enjoy them!

Disney World & Animal Kingdom

We just got back from a mini vacation to Disney World over Labor Day weekend. Brayden is at a fun age where he gets excited about everything… the roller coasters, the Disney characters (or at least most of them), the toys in the gift shops, and most importantly, his freedom. I say freedom as we let him roam throughout the theme parks and resort like a big boy. However, his monkey backpack also had a tail which happened to have a loop at the end that a parent could hold. I wouldn’t call it a leash, but rather a “kids-monkey-backpack-with-handle” stuffed animal. Parents, don’t knock it until you go to Disney World with a 20 month old. Here are some fun pictures of B…

Buzz Lightyear is Brayden’s new favorite.

This year, we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Kidani Village. The resort overlooks a savannah full of giraffes (Melman), zebras (Marty), and other African animals. This was especially fun for Brayden as his favorite movie is Madagascar. Here are a few pictures I snapped our last day. Surprisingly, photographing animals is easier than photographing a 20 month old who doesn’t sit still!
